Morgan was a featured actress as a woman in the AIDS prevention and education video Safe Sex for Men and Women. A portion of the profits were donated to American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been the driving force behind numerous fundraising initiatives for the cause as well as testified before a special Congressional committee on AIDS education. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar and the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett's former deputy surgeon general requested occasionally to substitute for him at AIDS awareness programs. In addition, she was the host of a AIDS Awareness Special with Steve Bell. She's appeared on Nightline with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan received the Emmy nomination for her special episode of Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. Morgan was co-starring in the ABC TV series Your Money or Your Wife with Joan Rivers. Then, she began the season of summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon created by Von Zeerneck/Sertner. The show also had Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. Then, she was transported to Luxembourg to film Harmony Gold's Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee also appeared in the show. Morgan played a part in the psychological thriller made exclusively for the USA Network garnering one of the biggest ratings in the network's history.
